Dinner with Chef John Ash at the Tallman

Foragers, foodies, or those with an intrepid interest in wild edibles join us for a specially prepared meal in the elegant Tallman Hotel dining room. CHEF JOHN ASH showcases recipes from his latest cookbook – COOKING WILD.  Often referred to as the “Father of Wine Country Cuisine,” Chef John Ash will be the special guest chef at the Tallman Hotel on Saturday evening, October 15.

Chef Ash has selected a menu showcasing recipes from his new newest cookbook, “Cooking Wild” (Running Press, $35), a collection of over 150 seasonal recipes made from uncultivated foods. According to Chef Ash, to eat wild you needn’t crawl through the forest or hunt your own game. Ash takes a broader view of “wild” by including recipes and information on both foraged and uncultivated foods as well as wild foods more conveniently found at supermarkets.
